my wife who is going in on friday for some cancer treatment just got a letter from humana monday stateing that due to some dental treatment her suregry will not be covered under our policy , it was me getting my teeth cleaned , i feel like i am going to bust my bolts !!!! she must appier before an insurance review board before thursday to get it cleared . this is the last thing my wife needs before surgery ,but off she went , we are on a wait and see list , man am i POed !!!!!
is this legal ??

Is this a medicare alternative policy? Is this an employer sponsored medical benefit plan? Is this a privately purchased plan?

Depending on the answer, you can appeal to different sources. Need more info please.

At the very least, inform her doctor that he won't get paid unless he helps get approval from the insurance company. Put the "monkey" on their back and tell them you need their help to help them get paid.

sounds like some BS they would pull to push you into jan before getting the surgery done so you can start all over with meeting your deductable. I got sick of insurance companies and went to cash pay, doctors like cash..... have done multiple surgeries over the past few years for what I would pay in a years worth of premiums......
