Went there by boat to look at my slab and neighbors house last Saturday. Looks like a war zone. Pulled into Stingaree and walked over to Tidelands. Highway 87 was clear but none of the side streets. Lots of debre everwhere.Talked to insurance adjuster today said it took him 3 hours to get in.

Generator, if you want to run any power tools. Ladder, if your stairs are gone. Longer ladder if you have to access a roof. Plywood, tarps, nails, wet vac, bleach, gloves, extra gloves, knee pads, work boots (the snakes were not an issue last weekend, plus there is no grass to hide in for much of the island), camera, first aid kit, cleaning supplies, measuring tape, garbage bags, phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range, 12 volt compressor, floor jack, tobacco products, sun screen, super models, man tong, change of clothes, sun shower or wash down water.

I'm going to Port Bolivar Saturday

Motels in Winnie are full, but I just got lucky and one had a cancellation. So I am there tonight and in line tomorrow morning with everyone else. Got my registration form filled out and have proof of ownership of my place. I have to drive the entire peninsula to get to laguna harbor in port bolivar. The images I have seen and one boater's report are looking good, but I will have to see what the water did in the stairwell and ground closet. May remove the TV and a few remaining valuables. I am taking a camera and a little cleaning stuff....not even thinking of attempting any real work...."look and leave" is about all I can handle right now. I'll post up when I return.
