Green Lake near Seadrift

I had been reading the post on Greens Lake near Galveston. I was wondering about Green Lake near Seadrift and the Victoria Barge Canal. Can you take a boat up in that lake and if so where are the boat ramps. Where are boat ramps located for the Victoria Barge Canal? Is Green Lake fresh water or salt water. Can you access it from the Victoria Barge Canal? Its a shame I'm from Victoria but never go that way. Always go to Olivia or POC, or sometime farther down south.

The only way I know to get in the Barge Canal is at the turn basin down from Charlie's bait.

The closest public ramp is in Seadrift. Green Lake is freshwater and there isn't anyway to access other than over land I believe. Mission has produced some good fish for me over the years. Good luck. Also think about going south out of Seadrift. A lot less traffic and pressure down that way.
