Yeah, and will all of the rain the week before, it got pretty nasty back there. You're right, though. In the morning, there's really no grass to speak of. However, by 3:00 PM, you get maybe 10-15 feet worth of crankin', then you're dragging in a lawn.
Intersting enough, however, I've found that fishing the when the grass gets bad in the afternoon seems to be better than in the morning. Maybe it's giving the reds more places to shelter from the sun for ambush purposes. It's been worth cleaning the grass off the Spooks each cast. Hoping this fine 5-10 mph wind holds straight through the next couple of weeks. Taking vacation June 30th to July 9th. Good luck to all this weekend.
