Some guys are all hat no cattle, LOL but I raise some of the prettiest brangus cattle in East Texas.

Having said that, we have abundant rainfall normally but our soils lack certain desirable nutrients which improve the taste of beef.

So, I definitely would grain finish any calf I intended for personal use.

By the way, soils do make a huge difference. I just spent a week in Argentina and they have without doubt the best tasting beef I have ever put in my mouth. Amazingly good!. Must be in the soils.

You are correct in that Argentinian beef is the best tasting. Incredible flavor!
