My thanks to Darrell Schacht of New Braunfels and his flesh eating chickens! 2 weeks between delivery and pick up! I think he did an awesome job!

Once we got the head back, we (son and I) cut out the backboard using 1/2 birch plywood. Routed the edges; beat it with a chain, 1 coat of cedar stain, 1 rub down with black onyx stain, one coat of clear satin finish.

Voila!

The dark stain and dark antlers look great together! I like the "weather" look the chain produced.

Looks good. Takes work to get it done. Has anybody seen the Euros where they do the camo on the skulls instead of just white? If so post some pics or tell me where to look. Thanks in advance.

Very nice job, plus the added bonus of working on it together. Certainly those memories will last a lifetime, and I'm sure the story of building the plaque will go along with every time the story of the hunt is told.
