I am taking a bunch of kids and families to the beach this weekend.
We were going to the Sargent beach but with the dead zone just offshore.
I was thinking of heading North to HI.

Anyone near cypress or N. Houston have a big bait or two?
I can't go scrambling for bait with a caravan of families following me.

Gracias in advance.

If your going through Galvetraz Bayou bait and tackle had some rays earlier in the week, they should still have plenty.

There is no dead zone down i sargents. I think someone is making c rap up. i have fished that area tons of times and have never been stumped. there's lots of reds and shark are there most of the time. also if you you hit the beach and take a left there is some good trout fishing around the cut.

i will say this about sargents there's usally not alot of people there. the cut to the right get's alot of people but i haven't seen many at the cut to the left. i have an old post on here about sargents.

well where ever you go good luck.

I got the hook up man. Give me a shout
You da man. Thanks

The dead zone offshore is the first for Texas ever.
I just feel like fighting that, if it comes inshore.

I fished Sargent the past 2 weekends. So I logged over 36 hours of fishing in the bay. But don't want to risk a blown weekend with 4-5 families stuck on the beach. The run off has been record heavy, but the surf was green last sunday.
