Since everyone, including myself, will let you know when they've had bad service somewhere, I thought I'd post up to let everyone know about a good experience I just had. I was ready to have to do a lot more to get a replacement part than I did and feel like these guys went out of their way to make life easy for me so kudos to Busha Boat Works and Carolina Skiff!

Here's the whole email string so you can see just how easy they made it.

Thanks for the prompt response. In case it’s needed, my HIN is EKHZ0071L102 and the purchase date was @ 7/28/2003.

Subject: Sea Chaser warranty work

Hi, I’ve got a Sea Chaser 2100CC that I bought as a leftover from Texas Marine in Houston last year that I keep in Matagorda Harbor. Since I bought the boat, I’ve had problems with the wash down pump going out because of water intrusion causing corrosion. Texas Marine went bankrupt shortly after I bought the boat and I’ve been unable to get the pump replaced again (they replaced it once) since it went out last September for the 3rd time. Can I bring you the pump and my purchase paperwork and get you to take care of a warranty replacement for me? I really just need the pump replaced since I plan on relocating it to prevent this problem from occurring again. I should have a few weeks left on my full warranty.

I realize I should have dealt with this sooner but I thought the nearest Sea Chaser dealer was near Sea Brook, which is about 80 miles from my house and who knows how far from Matagorda.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Thats nice. I just heard a bad story about them this weekend but having yours on top of it makes me realize sometimes things just dont go the way someone wants it. Glad they worked for you.

Correction: I had heard the story about the Bay City one.

Actually, it was the guys in Bay City for this one also. I just think of the whole area as Matagorda since it's all a long drive from home...

I had a personal experince with this guy and it would be a cold day in hell berfore I ever went back to him. Could list the whole long drawn out deal but short of it is this. Poor customer service , did not do what I asked him to do and the final blow was this weekend while i was out noticed a couple of bolts that never got tightened down. Would not recommend him for anything service wise.

Funny transport should be posting for the first time. The guy I heard the story from took his boat to Tran after the Busha experience with his motor. I heard they have great customer service and do good work at Tran. That would be another option for the Matagorda area as Palacious is not very far away. Suzuki and Honda dealers, I believe. But they definitely dont sell c-skiffs.

Not sure what that was suppost to mean however I felt that I needed to post a response to this because I would like to save someone else the BS that I went through. While I did not take my boat to Tran's I will next time because they do good work and will treat you like you are a customer and not a bother.

It was funny. A coincidence that the person who told me the story took their boat to Tran after the Busha experience and then you post with a handle Transport and I hadn't even mentioned Tran in my previous post. Nothing meant by it. Just thought it was a funny coincidence is all. I agree about Tran. Nice shop for sure. Thank you for joining the discussion.
