Left Freeport aboard the Mattiduke, destination Venice. To make a long story short, our first stop was a platform some 200 miles SW of Venice, drug around and landed a 80#+/- wahoo. With the skunk out of the bag we kept heading east.
Our destination was a drill ship about 7 miles south of the Ocean Saratoga.
We pulled up around 9 pm to see the tuna busting. We rigged the spinning rods and the fight was on. We stopped with 7 YFT from 50-125# and a couple of BFT, all caught on poppers. Very little room left in the fish box at this point. We hit a couple of other platforms Sunday morning, landing a 30# dorado and releasing (unintentionally) his twin a few minutes later. Had a small blue crash the left rigger but we didn't get the hookset. Saw another blue (maybe 400#) 20 minutes later freejumping.

Seas were incredible and a great time had by all.

We took a few pictures but since I do well just to know how to turn this box
on, I'm unable to post them.

Yes, they're fishing the Biloxi tournament. They decided to stay in Venice, considerably closer to where they wanted to fish. If they land a money fish they would head to Biloxi.

Not sure of the name of the drillship, we didn't get there until 9PM Saturday night.
As soon as we arrived we had our hands full with tuna.
