Looking at the news this morning and already seeing some flooding in the Galveston area and Ike is still some 200 miles away? It's just not looking good. God please have mercy.

I second that with you. I have friends that live in Galveston. I haven't talked to them but they both work in the medical field so I assume they didn't go far.

My dad and stepmom are about to leave the West End (if they haven't already). It looks like the storm surge could be real bad for the island this time...

Amen. I'm a BOI and my family home is there. Thank goodness my parents are safely encased in a hotel room in Seguin.

My mom just called and my sister-n-law just went into labor earlier and is in the hospital over at Ft Bend...........yikes! Not good timing! We were all hoping the little one would hold off till next week! I say if it's a boy they need to call him Ike and if it's a girl...call her Tina...lol!
