My grandparents who live in Pearland have a 120 lbs German Shepherd that I gave them 5 years ago. He was a cute puppy then. My grandmother feeds him steak and everything else every day so he has grown pretty big. His name is Cougar and he is great with kids but hates thunderstorms and will usually hide his big but under the nearest table. Anyway, my grandfather is 86 and my grandmother is 39 (and holding) and can't manage Cougar any more. I am looking for a home for him and he comes free of charge. I'm not allowed pets at my apartment here in Austin or I'd take him. He plays well with other dogs and cats. If anyone wants a great (fat) 5 year old German Shepherd that loves children, fresh steak and likes to be spoiled, email me or post up here. We really need to find a home for him before we have to go the animal shelter way.

if it comes down to it...don't take him to a shelter. Contact a GSD rescue group. Here's one in Houston, and one in Austin:

A rescue group will take the time to make sure Cougar gets a proper home, and almost never put a dog down. You might have trouble getting a shelter to take him based on his size.

good luck.

Got any pictures of the little feller? I could show them around work and see if I could spark some interest in someone.

I would love him, but 3 dogs and 3 cats is enough mouths to feed already!

Good luck and hope you find him a good home..............KC

I'll try to get some pics from my grandparents and post them. I'm considering renting a house so I can take him rather than give him to a shelter. It's funny how attached we get to animals.

Sc, thanks for the info. I'll give them a call if I don't get any takers. I couldn't stand to have him put down.

I'd take him in a heart beat if I didn't have 4 cats and 2 dogs already. I hope you find him a nice home or you can find you a way to keep him........

your grandfather must be lucky man with his 39 year old wife... hehe.......JJ
