I can buy a brand new 12 KW Yamaha Generator for $1700. through a friend who works for Yamaha. Seems like a good deal to me as I could run half my house during power outage. I think it would be best to run on propane as it will not go bad over time and gum a carb. I know there are conversion kits to do this but have never seen it done.

Does anyone know the particulars in doing this conversion?
