I have the 74SV. Garmin maps won't exactly show those things..

 

I have the 741xs, while not familiar with the Lowrance screen you speak of, I can say I don't believe there are any hot spots on it. Just a default map with depths.

^^^ You can buy the paper maps but the fishing hotspot cards are GPS coordinates to the spots, not a map on the screen.

My lowrance has old road beds and ponds..things like that..do you have a link newbomb?

 

Your 741xs likely came with offshore and lake maps preloaded (mine did, but don't know if that was a promotional offer).

Try to toggle between "g2 offshore" and "lake vu"(?) maps.

 

my new 741xs depth sounder does not seem to work in less than 3' of water, any feedback? I have not called Garmin yet
