All I can say is that it was really bad conditions. We launched at noon from Kemah. Winds were SSE @18-20 and water was muddy but the day before we caught some really nice fish and I had to take the chance to see if they were still there. I had 1 client on the boat and we did the same drift for 4 hours and we caught 16 keepers up to 3 pounds and about 10 undersize trout. (all released) No reds and we were fishing in 3-4 ft of water off of a shoreline. Had to use 3/8 oz jigs just to control the bait. I also tried a mirrolure and a silver spoon and caught 1 fish on each but they wanted a dark plastic more than anything.
