We had a good crew on the Marlintini yesterday. Mark, Rex, Shayne, Chris, and myself all ended up with our limits of snapper and kingfish. We hit a few spots 40- 50 miles out of GYB that we had never tried before. The first spot produced a nice 40lb ling and 20lb Grouper but no snapper. The second was loaded with snapper and it only took a few hours to get a 5 man limit. After we had our limit Chris decided he wanted to catch JAWS. I rigged him up a rod with a wire leader circle hook, and kingfish head. It didnt take long before he was in a good fight with a 9'hammerhead. We got it boat side before it finally broke the wire leader and swam away. The perfect end to a great day on the Marlintini.

Maybe a Newby question but any reason you dont bust those bags of ice up?

2 40# bags were already busted in the box. 2 other 40# bags were removed to the deck to take a picture of the fish box. before the ride home the remaining bags were busted and spread through out.

took some clients out for a day of fishing and luck was on our side. rex caught his personal best with a 40# ling and chris with an 18# snapper. we also had 2 additional ling 1-20# and 1 undersized that was released. being in 85' of water the grouper was a pleasant surprise.

while heading out we saw a mantaray jump out of the water 3 times. the weather was beautiful this weekend.
