A close work associate was killed at our work place on Monday. He was 28 yrs old with a wife and daughter. He was apparently a place he should not have been and it cost him his life. This bothers me alot because I fealt as though we were alot alike and I would have possible done the same thing under the same sircumstances.

I am posting this to remind all of you who take what you think are little risks or chances at work, that it is not worth it.

Where we work there is a lot of heavy equipment and moving conveyors and I all ways thought if I screwed up I could lose a finger or maybe a hand or a foot. But the reality is that we are pretty fragile little things compared to multiple ton pieces of equipment.

So just a reminder to everyone, slow down and take your time and do things the safe way. A few minutes of time is not worth your loved ones having to get the worst news of there lives.

With a heavy heart

I am so sorry you lost your friend, and his family lost their loved one.

Heavenly Father,

Be near to Steve and to the family of his friend. Thank you for the insight that Steve has shared with us about being careful around any heavy equipment or any moving machinery, such as conveyors.

I ask you especially to be with this young man's wife and daughter. This will be such a crushing blow to them. Surround them with the comforting and protecting power of your Holy Spirit. Be their shield and their fortress and their provider. Help them look to Jesus for all their needs. Send many friends to them to help carry their load, lend a hand, and to cry with them. Jesus knows our pain, and he wept, too.

In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

My prayers to you and his family. Not one blade of grass dies that the Lord does not know or care about. His plan is a mystery, but never forget that he knows the best and he has his plan for everything that happens. Death is just a walk through a doorway.
