5 or 6 years ago i use to frequently fish that triple rig. we use to pull nice snappers off the rigs. most of the amberjacks that we caught were right around legal size but never any real rig donkeys. the cuda's were not a abundant as they are now. as others have stated there are some nice fish being caught near that area. as sargent and matagorda get more boat traffic the area will get hammered. another spot bites the dust.....rick

28 10.457 095 35.421 is a little bit past the rigs heading from freeport but you will be with in 400 yards of them. about 45 or 50 miles out of freeport....rick

3 rigs that close together makes for a lot of structure below. the best time to fish the rig is after a long period of rough seas or during the winter. there is a better structure about 6 or 7 miles from there that gets a good amount of pressure that had yeilded better fish for me....rick
