I picked up a male, yellow lab on Sat morning about 7 a.m. at Gessner and Memorial. Vet scanned but couldn't locate a chip, no tags, in good condition and loving. He hopped in my back seat like he was my own. Canvassed the neighborhood north of Memorial but no one knew the dog. Will take to SPCA at end of week as I've lost my fences.

Spots and Dots-

He looks birdy. Big chest, scratches on his briskets and bloody tail. That might be from where I found him, under a tree that crashed through someones back brick wall on the north side of Memorial. Certainly hunting ability never stopped you from owning a dog before.

I'm not going to look for a home for him, I want to find his owners. SPCA has the dog now and they have a hurricane pet plan for finding owners. What ever that might mean. -T

My dog has been known to jump out of my truck and into a strangers if both our doors where open at a gas station. Then again if I had to ride with me all day I might wish to jump in another truck.

update- saw a familar dog being walked along Memorial this morning. Swerved over nearly running over a police car in a school zone, another story btw. Sure enough "Ike" had found his owners. They called SPCA and recoverd their pooch a couple of days ago.-Tom
A happy ending! Thanks!
