Amen to that w r. Planted my first fall garden in several years and am now wondering why I even mess with a summer garden. BTW, I overseeded with clover to put some nitrogen back into the soil and it is working great so far.

That was the end of the fall garden. The peas and the yellow squash have stopped producing. I did leave the zuchinnis and there are still fall onions in the ground. I just don't have to shell anymore peas. Now all I need to do is till in the pea plants as soon as the ground dries enough. We are supposed to get a light frost tonight also.

Agree fall is the best time to garden. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, onions, spinach, radishes, carrots, and cabbage are all growing in my fall/winter garden. Have some squash, cucumbers and tomatoes that are on their last days also.
