An onshore push will bring in cooler water and the bait and fish will be more active -- late evening outgoing tides bring all the hot water out of the bays, it all timing to be sucessful surfman -- there are good times and really good times, the only bad times are when yer feet are on the sand !!! Fish the onshore tides don't matter what time of day and you will find actively feeding fish, any tidal movement will have pretty good fishing , but when the rips get going so do the fish.
