We had a very rare north wind blowing today across the bay so we decided to look for trout. We found them and I mean a bunch. Too bad none were fit to hang on our wall.
Drifted the open area just south of Cullen bay right pass the spoil banks. The only thing we could get them to bite on was a bone color top water, believe me we tried everthing else. Probably boated around 12 but my buddy just kept three for the pit and Sunday night football. Plenty of top water action through out the morning but it got too hot for us to hang around.
The trout are still here you just have to look for deeper water with sand pockets. Good luck guys.
