West Bay trout...
Man am I sunburned. I picked up my fishing partner in the boat at 11:00 and got to our spot 10 minutes later. First cast and we both hooked up on topwaters. Light sprinkles and an hour later and we had caught 15 - 20 solid trout, all released. Decided we'd keep some and ended up at 4:00 with two limits 18" - 24". Five hours of some of the best topwater fishing we've enjoyed in a long time. All the fish came from the same stretch of water which we drifted and trolled(no wind). At first I was on with a ch/silver/ch skitterwalk and my partner was hooking up some with a ch/pearl/ch Shedog. I said try the "guides choice" and gave him a ch/pearl/ch/ red head Shedog. Mistake! He then was hooking up two for my one. It was a hoot. Some of the fish just slammed it, but many would hit two and three times and we had to trick***k 'em into jumping on it. Can't wait till tomorrow, going to wear long sleeves and my sombrero. The sun came out on our way back to clean fish and we had a gorgeous evening here.

I was all pumped up for a new adventure in the surf! But now with the comment on the trouser trout in the surf and your report on West Bay I may have a different plan for Tues. AM. Only prob is that it's been a couple years since I've fished that area too. Guess it's time to refamiliarize myself with West Bay. I guess it's time for some Mass Debating!!! Hop what do you think?

Well,
that was yesterday and someone put the fire out. Fished this morning and only caught and released 5-6 trout. Went back at noon for a couple hours with two fish caught.
The winds really blowing SSE and the bay is choppy but fair color. If it ever quits blowing the beachfront will be the spot.
lemon, we were steady fast walking until hook up or blow up and miss, then trick******* 'em with various walks, pauses, twitches.
