I want to take my 7 year old Nephew on a short trip. Maybe 6 hours . He has never fished before. Any suggestions on a party/head boat ? ? ?

Has he fished before? 6 hours on a party boat might be a little too much for a 7 year old, especially when it's a little cold out there. Thought about Seawolf?

He better REALLY love fishing! Party boats are long rides, a little fishing and then a long ride back. Lots of fun but I'm not sure a 7 year old would like it. I would agree with Seawolf Park. Lot's to eat close by. Leave when you want. Get lots of bites. Kids love to fish....when they are getting bites!
Great of you to be taking him fishing!
It's cold and rain is predicted for the next couple of days.
What happenned to Global Warming?
Dang!

If your nephew lives close by, PM me when the weather gets warmer (65+) and I'll take you both fishing. No charge and no guarantees but guarantee an enjoyable boat ride and maybe some fish?

pelican island. take 45 south heading to Galveston and turn of at the Cruise Ship exit (just after the causeway) couple miles you'll come to an overpass, turn left & follow the signs. They charge to get in and fish, but it's a nice park & if he gets bored, plenty of green space to run around. Try not to go on a weekend, gets really crowded. They have some bait there, but you may have better selection off of 45. There's also a WWII Destroyer escort & submarine on display that you can visit (or another fee). Fishing is varied, from shoreline or pier, but if they're biting you could get lucky.

enjoy, if you go, let us know how it worked out.
