My son and I went to Cabelas in Buda today, and he finally has a 9ft, 5wt fly rod/reel. He's so excited, just needs to get some flys

Now that the weather is changing I would recommend some brown clousers, spoon flys and a couple of poppers. these are good go to flies and are not that difficlult to present and have a pretty good hook up ratio.
