Depending on if it's got a funnel or not it should be ~200 lbs.

A 55 gallon feeder takes about 6 bags/300 pounds without a funnel in it. The 30 gallon feeder with no funnel should take approximately 3.5- 50 pound bags IMHO.

A 55 gallon will hold 300 WITH a funnel, idk how much without, but i've filled more than my share over the past 30 years.

 

The 30 gal. with a funnel held 3 50's,but I held some back to prime the ground under it.You nailed it steverino.

you get 350# in a flat 55 gallon drum ? Never seen any more than 300#. 6 50 # bags. A 30 gallon drum will hold 150# 3 50# bags.

 

Yeah, I have 2 feeders here, both 55gal drums. One has a funnel and takes 6 bags (300#), the other does not and takes 7 bags (350#). There's still only 300# available though, the last bag just sits in the bottom when it gets that low. I have a funnel to put into it the next time it's empty.

My 55 gal holds 6 bags (50lb) with room to spare, WITH a funnel. Haven't used one without a funnel so I'm not sure on that.

 

Talked to my Dad about this after i read this post because i knew he started back in the early 80's without funnels. He said if it was fresh corn he could get about 375, but dried corn he could do 400 at times. We filled a couple Saturday that were empty and they took 300 easy with a funnel, had an inch or so to spare.
