I hardly ever post, but I look at the site almost every day. I just needed to share a photo of my son and his drum. He had just learned to cast the zebco by himself. The first two casts he caught croakers and on the third cast he hooked into the drum. He fought him for quite some time until I had to take over.

Thank you for posting that picture! Most of us here have a lot of child in us but life sort of keeps us from enjoying it. When people like you post those kinds of pictures, all of us get a chance to go back and live in the child for a moment. I generally don't jump on these kinds of threads but I just had to thank you. The picture you posted is one of the things that makes this board so great

Sorry for the pun but that truly is 2cool! I still remember my 1st fish (unfortunatley no pics) A perch from a golf course pond my dad snuck me onto. I remember the trip more than the fish. Picture or not, that young man will remember that trip for the rest of his life, now that is cool !!! Great pic and trip, thanks for sharing.
