Hello Rich. Gorgeous shot. Are you still coming home soon? In my area (77084) there are only 14% of the customers still without power. Unfortuntely we are in that 14%. Maybe tomorrow.

Centerpoint's best guesstimate of my area code (77069) is after Thursday. We will be heading back soon, though. My son in Gleannloch has power....So, if we had to, we could camp out there for a while. If we leave Tuesday...and stop in Dallas to see 2 grandchildren...we'd be home by mid-day Thursday. I'd like to arrive to a cool house...Ha ha ha ha

It has been unbelievably beautiful up here. It got all of the way up to 80 today and seemed a little bit "warm" Ha ha ha... We hate to leave the weather..but ... home is Houston!

We are definitely going to have that back-yard party when we all get settled back into normalcy.

And does it leaf out first in the spring? Every year I say I'm going to watch the trees in my neighborhood to see if the first ones to lose their leaves in the fall are the first ones to leaf out in the spring, but I never do. Just curious.

Just went to Lake Houston for the first time, and the trees on the islands there have started to turn and are just beautiful!!


I was very happy with Lake Houston, not sure if it holds too many fish, but it's so pretty (aside from the tea brown water, which gives the lake a certain amazonian feel) I'm not sure I care. Definately a photogenic lake.
