50 yr. old 1750 sq. ft. with God knows what kind of insulation AND 2 very large louvered(sp) windows & 3 smaller ones. Thermostat set on 75 24/7. Last month was $175. Not real sure I want to see the ones for the remainder of the summer(which BTW, just "officially" started last week). I'm afraid it's going to be long, hot, pocket draining one.
32 year old 1800 sq.ft. single story. $320.00. But after blowing all that insulation up in my attic last thursday I can not WAIT to see what a difference it will make in the next bill. Now I spend more time worrying about why the ac isn't running than I do about another hight electric bill.
I doesn't come on NEARLY as often and only runs a fraction of the time. And another great feature is that the entire house is cool, all the time. No more days where the back of the house is hot or if you shut a bedroom door it gets hot. Only wish I'd done it sooner!!
1972sq ft......drum roll please.....................493.17 last month and 385.27 the month before that!!!! Thermostat set at 78 during the day and about 73 at night. And I work 2p-10p gone by noon everyday of the week. Rarely home during the day on my days off.
800 sq ft single story house. Try to maintain temp range of 75° F max to 68° F min. Used 19 KWH per day in June. Average temp was 59° F. Bill was $104.07.
What I hate is that the electricity cost $48.47, but all the taxes and surcharges cost $55.60. That just doesn’t seem right to me. I am paying more for taxes and paperwork than I am for product! :hairout:
