I took a trip to the casino Saturday ( Bad decision ) and on the way back to Houston I stopped in a store to get some Boudin and picked up a copy of the "Louisiana Sportsman" while there. It has an article about crow hunting in it, but nothing is mentioned about the table fare on them. ****-arses will eat anything with some cajun spices and hot sauce, but I was curious if any normal palates (non ****-arses) have given it a try and what does it taste like? With the palate out of the way they do sound fun to hunt and challenging.

Yeah, the article stated they could destroy crops in a big way. I can't recall seeing alot of them around these parts. I'll see a few here and there, but nothing I would call huntable. They are some big birds.

depends on their diet. around the cornfields up north they are seriously hunted. I bet ol Medulla762 could cook up a mean crow.. that boy can cook rubber and make it taste good!

I would try one that fed on corn as a main diet, but not a east Texas trash eater. Like a pigeon, one on the prairie is a giant dove. One in the city,, yuck!

Spout, I just read the "Crowbusters" web site from your Google and I might have to give these birds a try.
