The Topwater Grille belonged to the parents of a friend. He told me there is nothing left but the pilings.
Really good times there. My wife and I enjoyed the place and watching it grow.

Whether they rebuild or not, I hope the best for the employees and the owners.

Both are gone. San Leon took a really hard hit. Lost more than 50% of structures. We don't get the coverage like Galveston but they only lost 20% of structures. I had 6.5 feet of water at my house. I'm on stilts so everything in house is fine, family is fine. Lost everything below including the boat.

Yesterday, I talked to my buddy who lost his house in San Leon. He said, thus far, all he's found is the pilings. Not a piece of lumber or a piece of wood, just the pilings.

That said, he told me he was more upset that the Topwater is gone.....

That movie sucks! Me and the wife would cut out early on Mondays and get those 25 cent oysters. The GB oyster beds are wrecked, as well.
