Maybe I can get the answer here. I got the Droid X about a month ago or so and really do like it alot. One thing that I don't like and cant find a setting to change is the way a text is viewed. For instance, If I recieve a text that someone sends and it has multiple pix, or even one pic for that matter. It plays using slideshow. I cant scroll back and forth through the pix or simply view them one at a time. Basicly, I have no control over the pix at all!!! If there is a setting to change this somehow I have not found it. Any Help?

Ok, I loaded the new app for texting . Now how do I delete the texting app that came with the phone ? I drug the icon over the trash can but that didn't work. I went into the settings menu to view all my downloaded apps and the old texting app is not there. So I can't select and delete it.
Now that I have two texting apps loaded, I'm getting double texts and the phone is vibrating and ringing twice for every text !!!!!
I deleted the new texting app until I get an answer/solution.

Try this.... Open up the native SMS app then go into settings by hitting the menu button, then look for notifications and there should be options to turn it off.
That should do it.. When I tried to disable the Native SMS app altogether handcent didn't work, so don't do that...
