Have a wedding to go to in Port A this weekend, so we decided to make a weekend of it. Looking for some tips where I can wet a line without a boat.
Just couldn't live with myself if I was there all weekend and didn't wet a line.

Really would like to take the yak, but won't have enough time to make it worth it.

Thanks

I would definitely go to Shamrock . Its only about 5 minutes outside of Port A. Look for Port Royal condos on the Gulf side then wilson's cut is almost just opposite the highway. Take the road from wilson's cut (boat ramp) to the right, it winds around a good bit. There are some great flats back there, but I would try to use your kayak because it gets pretty boggy and would only add to the experience.

I am staying out there this weekend and will be at shamrock either sat or sun or both this weekend with my yak; if you need a partner let me know

Thanks for the info! The yak is out due to time resrictions, and also it's my little girls(2 year old) first trip to the island. I want to spend some time with her and mom on the beach. I'll be lucky to get in a couple hour wade Sat. morning before they get up and going. May try the B&R flats, heard some good things.

We will be down there stumbling around the bars Friday and Saturday night...going down for my Birthday, not going to get in any fishing but my new Haynie is ready for me to be picked up...kinda worked out to be a great b-day present. My place is at the Grand Carribean, holler at me if you get a chance
