I caught 3 gizzard shad after a lot of casts and cut them up for 11 floating jugs. I launched out of Beacon Bay, man that is a great ramp and breakwater. It was a beautiful day, the weather couldn't be finer.
I fished in the middle of the bay with floating jugs and drifted some cut shad.
The jugs went untouched for a long time, but the action was fair on the rods.
I boated about 8 with the R&Rs and another 5 on the jugs. Some pretty nice catfish, the larger ones came from the jugs.
I had a big one on with R&R but got my butt kicked and it ran it under a log or something.

48qt,they were nice size, I just got through cleaning them and they were much bigger than I remembered, some were over 4lbs, a couple about 6, most were 2lbs. Two nice channels.
I went today with Fishin Soldier, met him and a couple of his fine friends and I showed them a couple of white bass spots. The whites were home, but hard to catch, as they have been lately on the South end with the water clear and them hanging out in 10'. I tried drifting and jugs the same place as yesterday and got one catfish after FS & crew went in for a lunch break. FS, I did get a round of bites as I got closer to the far bank, it was that way yesterday too. It was good to meet you and your friends, lets do it again and I will show you some different spots.

Hi Loy,

Great job. I met you right before your surgery,I was with my cousin white bass fishing. I'm glad to see your back on the water. I am going to be fishing around the White Rock creek area starting Monday for a couple of weeks. We are going to put out some jugs and do some R and R fishing each day also. If you get up on that end of the lake let me know I'd enjoy fishing with you some and comparing notes.

texasGG I remeber you and I hope to get up to White Rock soon. I usually start fishing up there in December for cats and whites. I will let you know when and hopefully we can meet up for a fishing trip. I got to get this deer hunting and flounder fishing over with first.
