We welcomed 6-boats fishing out of POC early Friday morning, and several of the groups had near limits of trout, while two groups did have trout to 24". Capt. John Rachunek had 22-trout and 2 reds, while Capt. Scott Hataway landed 24-trout.

Now, back in Seadrift we had 2-boats fishing the Helping Hands Tournament. Capt. TJ Christensen's boat landed a 28" trout and a very nice flounder that would have won them first place in both big trout and flounder, but TJ landed the fish. Capt. Matt Moeller had 27 trout for his group.

Excellent bait fish are roaming in large schools over sand and grass, and when you can locate this kind of bait and nervous jumping mullet, normally the trout and reds are very nearby. San Antonio Bay continues to remain fresh and dirty, but trout are hanging low over shell near the ESB and SAB meeting points.

The surf has been rough, but once the winds lay, you can see trout and red fish action will heat back up.
