Does anyone use an Azimuth digital compass? I have one that was working fine untill recently. I sent it off for repairs and it is out of warranty and they want an 245.00 to replace it. That is cheaper than I can buy a new one for around here. I know this is the second one on this boat and I am not willing to chance another one. I liked it when it worked. What brand of compass are you guys running. I prefer a surface mount so I wont have to cut a large hole in the console.

They have had major issues with water intrusion...
I suggest you consider going back to a normal compass and installing a gryo in your hull
they last far longer...
