I have been trying to step up my knowledge of the flats around aransas pass. In the attached photo there is what looks like a channel that cuts thru redfish bay. Looks safe on google earth. On my navionics charts it shows it to be littered with obstructions. Anyone can attest to how safe or is to run that route?

Your good to go... just don't veer to the east towards Stedmans, there is a reef and shallow flats that could cause problems for you.
I used the attached for years to help learn all the spots from Corpus to Rockport.
Just type in the search bar and zoom in and out on the map features and there is a description of the bottom features as well, ie grass, shell, mud , etc.
