After flying over several prime launch sites and noting the damage, I'm curious to know how some of the fishing guides are doing? I know a few who guided as there whole source for income.

JR... There are some guides offering trips at a cut rate to help clean up debris. Hats off to em. Some guides are just going out everyday and cleaning up what they can in a day.. That is there office building..the fish are there...

It is going to be a LONG healing process for all .

On a positive note on the guides behalf, there are fish ( Reds ) being caught and hopefuly they can fill their calendars solid with clients and with 1/2 day debris clean up.

I will be down this Sunday and the next week ends for the years straight to help clean up the bay and the in shore gulf. Looking forward to a Bull/ Cool Front run

No power here. Tree folks are in the the back yard.. It wont be long now....

from what i hear about east and trinity no one would want to fish there anyway right now. Thousands of dead animals that washed off the island are all bloated and floating around not to mention that Dupont has kept hush the fact that several HUGE tanks have busted spilling all types of toxic **** into the bay. There is talk of TPW banning consumption of fish from galveston bay system

I happened to listen to The Outdoor Show last weekend--several guides reported in on exactly this topic. My guess is that this will continue for a while, along with informed discussion of impact projections and adaptation to new conditions. If not, you can call into the show (Thu-Sun AM) and inquire.

At least two area guides reported extensive damage if not total loss to hunting/fishing lodges.

We were spared here in Rockport. Thank God. Our tides are still very high. Up to the top of the docks. I guess due to the wind and the moon. Never went down since the storm. most of us are still fishing . lost our Houston area clients due to the disaster clean up. Redfishing is getting better. Some called and said they had just got electric back on. Things will improve now. Hope your fishing is ten fold.

We are back up and running in freeport, all of the rumors of the intercostal being closed were overextended.
ran our first trip yesterday, our usual dock is still undergoing repairs, so we are running all trips off our private dock,
bait and ice was a concern for a wile, but a couple of places were able to save there inventory.

were fishing tomorrow, and looking forward to the remainder of the season. yesterday was a three boat bull red ,trip with a bunch of firemen from the dallas area, and the bulls are here.

i have spoke with Angler 1 on several occasions and and i would like to extend the offer to any of yall in the galveston area,, i have dock space gentlemen,, if i can help yall in any way just give me a call, we will make room for you.
