Very happy with my new Curado 300. Loaded it with 50lb braid (I think it was 50 - got 250 yards on this reel.) and I intend to use it to cast to tarpon on an XH casting rod. Have not found the tarpon to cast to yet. However I chunked some shad behind a shrimp boat and caught some nice beefy blacktips!!
Smooth casting, fast retrieve and impressive power for a high gear ratio in a small package!!
Bantam1, thank Larry Dalhberg of "Hunt for Big Fish" for the sale. Saw his golden dorado show and thought I had to have one of those reels. Now my only decision is when to buy another.
I like it so much I may use it for sailfish in Quepos just for fun.
