I know this is not a wood related question but alot of you work with antler to turn pens... anyway, have any of you created an antique or aged look to antler, bone or mammoth ivory?

Or would you know where to find info on the process? I have tried googling it but I keep getting info on stuff to buy or other useless info.

Thanks

Make a very very strong pot of coffee or tea and soak the antler in it until the desired color is obtained, may take several days. I would check it often. I was told this many years ago and never tried it, so let me know if it works.

I have tried that... it just stains the material in a real even color of tan. Thanks for the suggestion though.
