Two days ago when we thought Ike was coming to Corpus my inlaws left and went to the deer lease between Columbus and Weimar. They decided to stay there in their travel trailer (I know). NO CELL PHONE!!!!!!!

What is the wind expected to be in the Columbus area????
May be driving up Sat. evening.

The latest reports say gust over 70mph tonight.. Not great in a travel trailer. Hopefully they got out of the trailer..Good luck redfish...!!

Yeah I know where that place is at also. Used to hunt down that way. Its on CR 806 or what we know round here as Speaksville road.
I'm in La Grange at the power plant tonight and we're not seeing too much right now, maybe 15-17 mph wind.
If anything drastic changes i'll try and update you...

Thanks for all the updates. Sounds We got through to my wife's uncle in Columbus and he is driving down 806 to check on them. I really appreciate all the info.

redfish, they should be fine. The winds were practically nonexistent and not enough rain to raise the float in the gauge. No damage at all that we can see & we're only a few miles from them.

Thanks to all. Finally spoke with them. They described it as being like a norther rolling in just lasting longer. Thanks again for the information.
