I heard today from a friend that the state was closing teal on the coast due to the game wardens are tied up with hurricane ike issues. Has anyone heard if this is true?

No!! Not True..Just talked to two of'em and they were scouting some places to look for hunters Saturday morning.. G-Luck

I would bet that the WMA's and NWR's on the coast are gonna be closed esp the ones East of town and around Freeport and Sargent. They arent letting most property owners in much less teal hunters. Guadalupe Delta may be open as well as the WMA's and NWR's further South. You just need to check with the state and feds but they may not answer with all the bigger fish to fry out there.

They did close some WMA and there should be a list on the web.. BTW the wardens told me to tell ya'll that they are all gonna be in Houston and unable to check anyone this weekend ...Walker
