I went to the Steak Night for 2coolers in Cypress a few weeks ago. I forgot who said it but I've seen others make mention of it. Is it true that the ddeper water is a shorter run from Surfside than Freeport? They are not that far apart. I have a single O/B but like to fish in 100+ feet. I find that from Bridge bait to south, 100 feeet is about 25-30 miles. Like I said I don't remember who said it but someone said it's only 25 miles to 125+' from surfside and 35-40 from Freeport.

What heading, and from what port is the 100' mark closest? Anyone know?

I believe Port O'Connor is the closest point on the Central Texas coast to deep water.

Port O is too far to pull the boat (5 or 7 times a year). But thank you.

Tis what I thought, Thanks. What about the heading from Bridge Bait (for my soon to be gotten plotter) to the closest deep water. I may be able to cut some distance. I pretty much go 180 degrees.

Make a left when you back in to the ICW and make your first hard left 1/2 mail down the ICW... your then in the gulf !!! cant miss it... if you go under the bridge your headed the wrong way!!!!
