Ernie's Too is alive and well, LOL! Delores makes the BEST cheeseburgers and fries! Well, anything that Delores cooks is the best!

I've seen plenty of wade fishers going along the south shore from Ernie's Too. I'm guessing it must not be as muddy as some other places, or they wouldn't keep wade fishing there.

Hey! Espanolabass - Welcome to 2CoolFishing! Glad to have you aboard.

Go learn it.

I have countless trip in Christmas.
Same as anywhere. Go do it.
Everlast's over sized by 2 sizes and you'll get a work out.

Redfish for the taking.
Trout on top.
The whole SS is great wading.
Go through the mud, the edges are what you want.
Don't just go wade through them.

Kayak friendly.
Weedless spoons and SS jr's are your friends.

I just recently decided that I will never fish christmas bay again...or at least out of ernies 2. There are no fish there and alot of deep mud. Your best bet would be to wade the back side of the San Luis Pass. There are miles of flats and the trouts and reds are definetely up in there. Good luck
