Just wondering if anyone has spoken with Chris to see how he, his family and property made it thru IKE.

I know he said he was trying to get his new shop up an running in weeks leading up to IKE's landing and I believe I remember that he lived on the island.

Chris, if your out there, let us hear from you on how your doing.

I have been in contact with Chris. His family and him are all safe. I would venture to say that the schedule for the new shop has definitely been affected by the storm.

I'll let him know you were looking to hear from him!

Thanks, I live on the mainland now, I talked to Galveston Party Boats owner by phone, there boats are in Freeport, because they have no docks to tie them up to. I cleaned up pretty quick,I lost 80% of everything I own,but I will rise and prevail ! The water was about 2 ft under my second floor windows. I stayed through the storm in my home on Channelview Drive in Galveston.

Holy cr*p Chris. I didn't know that you lived there. I was in that neighborhood less than a week after the storm. I would never think that loosing 80% of everything would be considered lucky but you are lucky to be alive. That neighborhood was completely destroyed. The worst I saw anywhere on the island.

I'm glad you are OK.
