CHIRP or NOT TO CHIRP?

Help. Have a CHIRP capable GARMIN 741xs, came with the boat. I'm adding down and side VU. Is it worth it to add CHIRP transducer also for 2D? I have not actually been able to see a CHIRP unit displayed. MOSTLY freshwater FOR NOW. ANY comments, suggestions appreciated.

Check with the guys on the Bluewater board probably get better response
