I used one on a SheDog. Personally, I didnt like it much. Seemed to pull the tail end of the lure too much, making it sit at about a 45 degree angle in the water.

Makes quite a bit of noise, but it also kinda killed the dog walking action.

That's just my .02 cents, other results and opinions may vary.

Chatterweights

Are You Trying To Get An Edge???? Lol
they work great

I have use them for years, inline with a leader and jig head (soft plastic) works well in off water! Some peaple use them in line with bait. They work well in most occ., Capt. Jim

I've used chatterweights with both plastics and live bait and YES, THEY WORK!!

Kelly, Steve Walko makes a Chatter Float--looks like the Chatterweight but it floats--that is better for adding on to the She-Dog or other top waters. It stays more neutral in the water.
I used the small one with a leader and leadhead and it worked great over grass. You can also rig weedless and use it over shallow beds. Using it with a topwater doesn't make sense anyway.
