Left Freeport a little later than anticipated at 12:30 with co-owner John and some newbie friends Eric and Brad. Heading SE towards Jalapeno, we stopped along the way to make bait. After loading the live well and dodging storms, we arrived at jalapeno just beore dark. We made the decsion to head deeper to Cerveza for the night. Spent the last little daylight trolling around the West Cerveza producing nothing. Tied up trying for the tuna bit. Again, nothing. Around midnight, a supply boat was stern tied to the rig with his engines in gear creating a heck of a prop wash for 2 hours while they unloaded a bunch of cargo. Fishing completely shut down. Woke in the moring to a lot of lightning and storms surrounding us and made a rund back to Cerveza. Landed 3 quick AJs 53#, 43#, and 35# before making teh run for the barn. With bad weather all around, decided to puch through. Sloppy, but not too bad, made it through and began looking for some bottom fish. Could get baits past the sharks, trigger, or barracudas anywhere. Called it a day and back to teh dock by 2. Despite teh iffy weather, a good time had by all.
