Let's not rush it, it's a Cat. 1 right now, winds at 70knots. Estimate for 8/31/04 is 130 knots which will make it a three. Hopefully it will turn more north and just go away.

I've looked at the spagetti run computer models and the majority show the storm moving just North of Haiti/Dominica then up the Eastern Florida coast and of course hitting Hattaras.(poor S*BS)
Two of the many models are very parallel and show the storm moving into Curacao.
The smart money says it tracks North but IMHO it's too early to really tell.
We'll see.

If it pops SC or NC again, those folks may not make it. One of the sites I help out with is on the Outer Banks of NC, and so far, they have been hit 3 times this year. I hope this thing heads out to sea, and dies.

I don't even want a tropical depression. No matter what they call it or what catagory it is it ain't gonna bring anything good.

Please help me pray it doesn't go to SC area

Joey's orders got changed this morning at MEPS prior to his departure. Instead of doing his Basic in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. they sent him to Fort Jackson, SC.
He called me from Alanta, Ga. this evening when he landed. He'll be bussed in from there. He'll be there for 9 to 10 weeks, depending on how long he stays at the reception battalion. All storms go away... we don't want them in the Gulf, and the Eastern seaboard don't want them either.. just go away.

Yeah i know that silly, i was asking which storm was a cat 3, the latest report at the time only had the storm as a cat 1, now we may be dealing with a cat 3 in a couple of days though!

You know what is even scarier Argo, I think it has weakened a little since I last looked at it. At one point, I think it had 185 mph sustained winds with gusts to 220 mph. That is just on HUGE F4 tornado bearing down on anything in its path. Mother nature sure is powerful.
