I have a boat on Snapper lane. The last street in bridge Harbor and I would like to go check on it. If I drive down there will they let me in bridge harbor?
If anyone has any information about that area I would love to here it
Thanks, Scott. 281-507-3956

we live on redfish. hood came through pretty good. not much structural damage. road block at freeport side of the bridge and they don't stop anyone from going in to bridge harbor. not sure about at night though. roads are pretty clear now. can't go into the marina, the old boat shop is laying accross the road. there's a nice bertram sitting on the bottom out front, but that's the only sunken boat now. i'm still at work and only get to go check on the house once a day. power lines look pretty good, w/only one broken pole. no crews in site though. most of reeport has power. not much of lake jackson. we never lost power at the plant and are ready to start up as soon as we get some feed stock. they don't want to let us off h-duty til the cities are stable. might as well stick it out at time and a half around the clock w/free food and a/c.

Patrick is there on site - assessing the damage and begining the cleaning up process. Our primary objective is to secure the property and prioritize and address the safety and environmental issues. We have 5 sunken boats, three are BHYC customers, and 2 must have come into the marina from the surrounding neighborhoods. The property/general area is being patrolled by TABC officers - on loan for the time being. The property is closed from Sun down to sun up - for everyone's protection. The piers are still intact, but about 25% of the roofing has been damaged. We did not get the storm surge projected - we were expecting to have our store flooded out; but the waters never made it that high. We will do our best to keep everyone informed - we hope that everyone affected by the storm has a safe and fast recovery.

Will he (Patrick) be there for a while??? As of the 14th no one was at BHYC. I understand that people had to take care of their own stuff, but there are security companies that had/have people to secure the area or provide Access Control Points. Lots of people were coming and going on the 14th.

Also, do you or Patrick have a time line with they will bring in a crane and lift the beams off my boat?

Thank you for your help.

John

The property has been deemed unsafe for public access. We are in damage control right now and are working with the resources that are available to secure the property. If your boat has damage you need to contact your insurance agent to process a claim. Insurance adjusters are starting to make contact and schedule visits to view the damage to the boats and property. The sooner you get on the list with your insurance company the faster a claim will be processed.

I am Federal 1st Responder who works in High risk areas. So I understand, thank you very much.

That was not my question. It was: when or if BHYC will schedual a crane to take off the peir and crossbeam off the boat. I have tried to call down there but no answer. I don't think there is enough damage to call the insurance. Just need the peir and cossbeam moved and secured.

Thanks,

John
