Just making it home from a week in Cabo. What a beautiful place. Took my wife and son, and we all had a blast. Just one day of fishing, but lots of relaxation and other fun activities.

Chartered a panga since it was just going to be me and one guy I met down there. The cost was $80 per person for 5-6 hours. What a deal. We departed Sunday morning, and spent most of the morning bump trolling livies, but nothing to show for it. No tuna, no bill fish. We switched to trolling small skirts, and the Mahi here thick. Doubles almost every time. Don't know exactly how many we caught, but it was a bunch.

Of course this is all just a few miles off the coast. 6 hours fishing and I think we burned 8 gallons of gas.

Next time I hope to go with some friends and charter a bigger boat (some of the bigger boats that ventured further out did catch some YFT (40-50 pounds)).

Nice job Brandon! How did your son like the little chipmonks? at the Hilton? I gave one a try for Roosters off the beach but they don't seem to like them. We need to book a trip there in about 6 weeks the stripers will be hot by then!

Hey, Rob. Yes, the Hilton. Beautiful place. He liked the chipmunks and the iguanas. Tried to catch an iguana, but they are faster than they look.

Are you sure? I think it is a black iguana. Google it.

Mastercylinder, aka snake guru, and lizard expertize?

I'll send you and cowpoke a PM soon in a few minutes. BTW, GREAT place to take the family.

Those pics are making me tremble with anticipation. I'm Suffering from Deprived Angler Disorder (D.A.D.) after Ike and I'm not going to Cabo until Feb. Glad you had a good time.
Feb should be great. Last Feb Pisces caught 254 striped marlin (they caught 1200 in Novemeber which is the best month for striped marlin), and 909 yellowfin. You should have a great trip.
